What is a Counter?

Counters are software/hardware integrations that collect two pieces of information: the number of people entering a Zone and the number of people leaving a Zone. The way this information is collected depends on the specific type of Counter you are using (we support a variety of counters).

What types of Counter exist?

Our platform supports a variety of counters out-of-the-box, and we're always bringing new data-sources to the platform. We can also build bespoke integrations to make things like turnstiles and Wi-Fi hotspots into Counters on our platform.

Mobile Counter

Our most cost-effective solution for people counting is the Mobile Counter. In essence, it's a mobile app that reimagines the tally counter still in use in many establishments today. The Mobile Counter is available for Android and iOS.

Thermal Counter

The thermal counter is built around a thermal camera that is typically mounted above a doorway. This type of counter can be left completely unattended after calibration, and automatically detects people entering and leaving your Zones by monitoring heat signatures moving across a boundary-line.

It requires the least amount of effort to maintain and has an incredibly high accuracy (around 98%).
